This is a story of unproven accounts of man’s strife to manage his habitat to his best advantage. It is about people who live the life God dictated in Genesis: “Go out and manage this Earth and everything on it.” It is about people who think they can make a difference, and they are doing it. Some even go beyond what their fellow men might allow, but even then, they do it, because they think their actions might make the Earth less hostile to man and animal. They are all aiming for a better life!
Africans and Arabs want to retain the status quo by making sure the Arctic remains a pristine wilderness with minimal human activity and influence. Exploiting the Arctic riches and moving the Global village will decimate Arab control over world energy and decapitate South Africa from commercial sea routes. The Arctic might hold 26% of the World’s unexploited gas and oil - Arctic shipping lanes will on average cut 26% off travel time, energy consumption and trade efficiency. Moving the center of the World to the Arctic might reduce Greenhouse gas emissions due to World trade by twenty six percent!
Business and world economics demand a new world centre where the trade routes are shortened to connect the developed nations of the Northern Hemisphere, thus unlocking major natural resources to benefit to the world. The Mediterranean of the future will be created in the Arctic Circle, and evidence exists to back this up!
Without utilization of what earth offers in resources – man might never have came out of the dark ages, some bad always accompanies the good! The ambiguity lies in deciding –right against wrong!
The speech was never completed, because the would-be US president never made it out of the Prince Albert Hall on his pre-election visit to the UK. Well, he made it out, but in a green bag zipped over the remains of his body.
The bomb in the cathedra in front of him blew his notes into the air like a cloud of doves in Central Park in the early morning. His breath followed and his lungs collapsed against his spine, which disintegrated against the body of his aide behind him, and he died immediately. The FBI security agents decided to deposit the two bodies’ intermingled parts into a single bag.
Now, eight years later, she was on her way to inaugurate a facility that had already commenced experiments to determine the success or potential of this theory. This had been done with the support of NHS to avert the ultimate disaster in order to protect and preserve the citizens of the United States of America. This was her responsibility. Only the NHS knew about this experiment, which set off several earthquakes in order to determine the outcome of this action against the bigger threat of a mega earthquake occurring in the Yellowstone Caldera.
The FBI had given her the list of the participants at this opening ceremony, and she was now preparing herself for the occasion. It was not intended to be a public ceremony, just a small, closed, formal procedure to give praise to people who had made the USArray listening post project possible. This might alleviate disaster or provide foreknowledge.
Bruce felt strong in his conviction that, even though he had had a difficult time organising and orchestrating the processes that had led to this current state of affairs with relation to shipping routes, it had been well worth the effort and dangers. He shivered lightly as he negated the flashback of murder and potential risk; the memory retained of the extreme measures that had been necessary for the operation in which he had toiled night and day. Fortunately, his hands were clean. He had had to use a few unsavoury characters to deal with problematic issues, but most of the work was done. Only a few strings remained to be attached in order to pull the lid off… an ice-free route over the North Pole. This would be like going to the moon; the financial payoff would be vast and ordinary people would not be able to begin to understand the implications for world trade.
It was not the first time he had occupied this spot on the sphinx; he had sat here about 20 years ago with his father, who was already a middle-aged man at the time. His father was a scholar of the Earth. His official studies were the Earth, and his private, ‘the folly of humankind’, as he used to refer to the goings-on of man, the chasing after golden pots at the end of rainbows, and the narcissism of man – especially those who thought that they could change the cycles of heaven or the cycles of Earth in the short lifespan of man. Only a Jesus or Buddha could have added a thinking process that might one day change the action of man. For, as far as Professor Graham was concerned, man was currently on a steamroller collision course with his environment.
“With this action, we may strike the mother lode, in terms of mining speak. It might be that the caldera of Yellowstone comes alive for at least a few months and that a major plume of ash is spewed into the atmosphere. The northern hemisphere will be cloaked with dust for a few weeks, maybe a month or two. It will effectively mean that there will be a respite in the northern summer. Such a respite will mean the temperature will fall by about three to five degrees in comparison with the normal summer temperatures. The sea currents will likewise drop in temperature. The colder water, cooler Earth crust, and the effect of wind combined with summer temperatures will result in a 10 to 20-degree drop in temperature in the Arctic. The pack ice will become hard and coalesce, the ice cap in the Arctic Circle will ice over, and the world will be as we have come to know it lately, with no Arctic sea routes. The travel and trade in the southern hemisphere, which is so dependent on US-Asia and Euro-Asian trade, will continue unabated. There will be few or none Arctic sea routes! The Greenpeace activists can take a rest and all the hype about glaciers melting and global warming will be history, at least for a number of years,” explained Plaatjie.
Sigrid longed for her figurative ship to come in, but knew that only the weather would dictate when and how this event would become a reality. It would allow her to retake her rightful place on a green Greenland, where she could raise a family, tend a flock, and be free to sail the sea. This had all been just a daydream until she had become involved with Group26. In private, she and Bruce referred to her effort as Viking, in other words, the saviour.
Sigrid felt like what she was; a prize he had won; defiant, but slightly humiliated. He examined her as he slipped out of his shirt, his naturally dark native skin drawing her attention, his eyes never leaving her body. Still holding the cocktail he walked slowly towards her, then his mouth was at the bridge of her nose; it was as if he smelt her. Then he brought the cocktail over her head and slowly poured the icy liquid over her forehead.
The simplest reality was that two times six equals 12, for the twelfth month. In itself, the number makes 26 December and 2004, with another six by adding the two and the four. Then, adding the two sixes and the six of 2004, you get three sixes, which is the devil’s number. Therefore, it is a significant number. Then, it is also the day after Christ’s birthday, which could point to the significance of Christ and his message. One could go on to find numerous relationships with 26 as a significant number in history, mythology and mathematics. The end of the Mayan calendar is 2012, apparently the end of the world. The number 2012 relates to the number 26 by taking 2 times 12 give 24 plus the two and you have 26 inclusive in 2012. He also found the interesting link between the number 26 and what is known as the Gods’ Solution, the ultimate solution to the Rubik cube. The ultimate solution is that, in theory, it should be possible to solve the Rubik cube in 26 moves; however, no one has achieved this yet, although there are those who say they have done it in 28 moves. Then the Alphabet has 26 letters and number twenty six is obviously Z and also Omega which indicates the end. The number 26 is also the gematric number of the true name of God, YHWH.
It was four hours into the Trans Atlantic flight Air France AF 447 from Rio de Janeiro to Paris, by which time Gunther has drowned his sorrows in a couple of whiskies. His leg was aching from the bullet wound. The passengers included a rowdy lot of South Africans, whom he recognised from his encounter with two of them the previous day in the USArray facility where he had been shot. They were returning home and making excessive use of the in-flight bar facility. One of the South Africans, Chris, who seemed to be in charge, had mentioned to him that what they had built and left in the US at Yellowstone Park would make the world recognise South Africa and Africa as a major player in world politics. Gunther did not understand why a construction job should have such a high profile. Popelina had missed the flight and he was feeling really sorry for himself. Just then he heard a BANG! - he was blinded by a flash from the stowage area above his head and felt a rush of warm air followed by a further noise and then he was floating in mid-air, still belted into his chair – it was a flight disaster – then he lost consciousness in the cold as he tumbled to the dark sea below.
